hey, I'm Rebecca!

Tech should fit people, not the other way round.

Product leader, founder of Kin, and big believer that AI should feel like a helping hand — not a homework assignment. I make complicated things feel simple for the people who need them most.

the big why

We need to change how we look at tech and AI.

Right now, a lot of AI is built by people who love AI, for people who already love AI. Everyone else gets jargon, set-up guides and a vague sense of dread. I think technology should be measured by who it helps — especially the people who've been left out so far.

Tech for good

Success isn't just growth charts. It's fewer people stressed about bills, more families with breathing room, and communities that help each other.

Built for humanity

Real life is messy — school runs, money worries, too many tabs open in your head. Good products start from that mess, not the shiny demo.

Accessible to all

If you need a computer science degree to set it up, it isn't finished yet. AI should work for the curious, the cautious — and the slightly scared.

the story so far

8 years of keeping the wheels on.

Every role taught me the same lesson in a different outfit: technology is only as good as what it does for the person on the other end.

Chapter 1

Crowdfunder UK

Product

Built products that help people rally their communities around causes they care about — including a large-scale fundraising campaign with UNICEF.

lesson: tech is at its best when it helps people help each other

Chapter 2 · 3 years

OVO Energy

Staff Product Manager

Led a team of four PMs across payments infrastructure, government schemes and affordability products — the unglamorous plumbing that decides whether someone can keep the lights on. Also helped people manage their debt.

lesson: when money's tight, every confusing screen costs someone something real

Chapter 3 · 2026 → now

Kin

Founder

Left OVO in spring 2026 to build Kin full-time: an AI-powered helper for the invisible to-do list every family carries.

lesson: founders run on coffee, optimism and a terrifying number of browser tabs

now building…

“I expected a village; I found a vacuum.”

Kin takes on the mental load of family life — the appointments, the forms, the “did anyone reply to that party invite?” Its AI helper, Otto, spots what needs doing and offers to take it off your plate.

The twist: you stay in charge. Every task shows up as a simple swipe — do it yourself, or hand it to Otto. Built for families who don't have the time or appetite to wrangle AI tools — not for people who automate their toaster for fun.

how I build

Four rules I don't break.

01

Start with whoever's most likely to be left out

Design for the stressed, the busy and the not-very-techy — and everyone else gets a better product for free.

02

Keep humans in the driving seat

AI should suggest, help and take things on — but people decide. Trust is earned one tap at a time.

03

Plain English over jargon

If I can't explain it to my mum over a cuppa, it's not ready to ship.

04

Measure good, not just growth

Did someone's day get easier? That's the metric that matters. The rest is a nice bonus.

come say hi!

Let's build tech that's kind to people.

Investors, collaborators, fellow founders, parents with opinions — I'd love to hear from you. I reply faster than a toddler finds a felt-tip pen.
